Heidenau Inner Tube 18 F Cross – 34G Valve

Heidenau Cross 18F fits tyres in the 4.50, 100/100, 110/100, 120/100, 120/90, 130/90, 130/80, 140/80, 150/70 size range for 18-inch rims and is built for heavy-duty use on a fully loaded touring-enduro motorcycle.

The wall is thicker than on a Standard tube — 2.5–3.0mm against 1.5–2.0mm. A thicker wall withstands mechanical stress better both during fitting and under heavy use.

Material and durability

Heidenau Cross 18F is made from natural rubber: the material resists mechanical stress better than synthetic compounds and retains high elasticity even after prolonged use. On a fully loaded touring-enduro bike, this helps reduce the risk of tube damage from a stone or nail caught in the tread.

The trade-off with natural rubber: it loses pressure slightly faster than synthetic rubber, so check tyre pressure with a gauge before a long trip rather than by eye.

Valve and fitment

Heidenau Cross 18F comes with a 34G valve — straight-stemmed and threaded for a standard cap, fitting most touring-enduro and enduro rims.

Application

Heidenau Cross 18F suits touring-enduro motorcycles with an 18-inch rim, including the common 140/80-18 rear fitment. The Cross class carries road approval and is intended for regular long-distance use, not only for occasional off-road riding.

In Kazakhstan's climate, natural rubber retains elasticity better at low temperatures, but ages faster than some synthetic materials during prolonged use in high heat. In summer, it's worth checking the condition of Heidenau Cross 18F regularly.

Fitting recommendation

When fitting Heidenau Cross 18F, use a new rim tape of the correct size and follow the motorcycle manufacturer's tyre pressure recommendations. Pinching the tube with tyre levers remains one of the most common causes of premature tube failure.
